Currently in math we are working on 3D measurement. We have been constructing three dimensional objects out of nets (prism & pyramids). During this process we reviewed the concepts of edges, vertices & faces. Yesterday we started investigating the volume of rectangular prisms using cubes. Today we measured 5 rectangular prisms in the classroom and used the formula we learned to find the volume of each object (V = length x width x height). We will continue to investigate the volume of a variety of objects & then we will move on to surface area.
